Privacy Policy

1. Information We Collect

Account data: Email address, name, and hashed password when you register.

Uploaded content: Book files (PDF, TXT), author reference images, and any text you provide for project descriptions or chapter content.

Generated assets: Reference images, video files, narration audio, and manifest data produced by the AI pipeline during generation.

Usage data: Job history, credit transactions, and basic analytics about platform usage (e.g., which features are used, generation success rates).

2. How We Use Your Data

Your data is used solely to:

• Provide the video generation service
• Process payments via Stripe
• Send account-related communications
• Improve the platform through anonymized, aggregated usage statistics

3. Third-Party AI Processors

To generate video content, your uploaded source material is sent to the following third-party AI services for processing:

• Anthropic (Claude) — reads your text to generate scene descriptions, prompts, and narration scripts
• Google (Gemini) — generates scene images from text prompts and reference assets
• Kling AI (via AtlasCloud, fal.ai, or Replicate) — animates scene images into video clips
• ElevenLabs — generates voice narration and character dialogue audio

These services process your content according to their own privacy policies. We transmit only the data necessary for each generation step and do not grant these services any rights to your content beyond what is needed for processing.

4. Data Storage

Your data is stored using the following infrastructure:

• Database: Supabase (PostgreSQL) for account data, project metadata, and job records
• File storage: Supabase Storage for uploaded files and generated assets
• Backend: Railway for API processing
• Frontend: Vercel for the web application

5. No AI Training

We will never use your uploaded content or generated outputs to train AI models. Your books, chapters, images, and videos remain yours. Anonymized aggregate usage data (e.g., average generation times, failure rates) may be used to improve the platform, but this never includes your actual content.

6. Data Retention & Deletion

Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account (via Settings), all of the following are permanently removed:

• Your account and profile information
• All projects and their metadata
• All uploaded source files
• All generated assets (images, videos, manifests)
• Credit transaction history
• Reviews and referral data

This deletion is irreversible. Data that has already been sent to third-party AI processors is subject to those processors' retention policies.

7. Payment Data

Payment processing is handled entirely by Stripe. We do not store credit card numbers, bank account details, or other sensitive financial information on our servers. We only store your Stripe customer ID for transaction management.

8. Cookies & Local Storage

We use browser localStorage to store your authentication token (JWT) for session management. We do not use tracking cookies or third-party analytics that track individual users.
