1. Platform Description

Writer's Studio is an AI-powered platform that converts written text — books, chapters, or excerpts — into cinematic video content. The platform uses third-party AI services (including Anthropic Claude, Google Gemini, Kling AI, and ElevenLabs) to generate scene images, animate video clips, produce narration, and assemble final video files.

2. Account Responsibilities

By creating an account, you agree to provide accurate information and maintain the security of your credentials. You are solely responsible for all activity under your account. You must be at least 18 years old to use the platform.

3. Credit Purchases & Refunds

Credits are purchased via Stripe and are non-refundable once purchased. However, the platform automatically refunds unused credits when a generation job fails or is cancelled mid-way. Only the portion of credits consumed by completed work is retained; the unused balance is returned to your account.

4. AI-Generated Content Disclaimer

All video, image, and audio outputs produced by Writer's Studio are AI-generated. These outputs may contain visual imperfections, inconsistencies between scenes, or artifacts inherent to current AI models. You acknowledge that results are not equivalent to human-produced film or animation.

If you publish or distribute AI-generated content from this platform, you must disclose that the content was produced using AI tools, in compliance with applicable laws and the platform policies of any distribution channels (e.g., YouTube, Instagram, TikTok).

5. Intellectual Property

Your content: You retain full ownership of all source material you upload to Writer's Studio. You are solely responsible for ensuring you have the rights, licenses, or consent to use any material you upload.

Generated outputs: Videos and assets generated by the platform from your source material are licensed to you for personal and commercial use. The platform retains the right to use anonymized, aggregated usage data for service improvement, but will never use your specific source material or generated outputs for AI model training or marketing without your explicit consent.

6. Content Rights Confirmation

Before generating video content, you must confirm that you own or have obtained appropriate consent for the source material being used. This confirmation is required for each project. If you use source material that does not belong to you, it is your responsibility to obtain consent from the rights holders prior to uploading.

7. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Writer's Studio, its creator, and its affiliates harmless from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from: (a) your uploaded content or how you use generated videos; (b) your violation of any third-party intellectual property, trademark, or copyright rights; (c) your violation of these Terms or any applicable law.

8. Limitation of Liability

Writer's Studio is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenue, whether incurred directly or indirectly, arising from your use of the platform.

9. Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, the Acceptable Use Policy, or applicable law. You may delete your account at any time from your settings page, which permanently removes all your data, projects, and generated assets.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notification.
